INDIANA JONES
The_Past_Returns
This is a really well written story, describing Indy's return to Marion's bar in 'Raiders Of The Lost Ark' from Marion's point of view. It does a really good job of putting you in her shoes, and making you feel like a woman would when a man like Indiana Jones walks back into your your life and makes your knees weak from powerful emotions and stirred-up memories. (A man like Harrison Ford would have that effect on most women). This one comes highly recommended.STAR WARS
Said_the_Joker_to_the_Thief
I thought this was a quite a fun read. It's about things going wrong during 'order 66' and there's some slick action sequences involving a couple of clone troopers and Ahsoka, the annoying little jedi girl from the 'clone wars' cartoon series. The whole thing is pretty nicely written, and quite enjoyable.
THE BOURNE IDENTITY
Kirill_Redemption
This story looks like its about some Treadstone agent other than Jason Bourne who finds himself in a 'just woke up from a coma with amnesia'-type scenario which is similar to the first movie in that it's quite stripped down and simple. It worked great for the movie, so let's see if this story can capture that same tension and slickness. I haven't read the whole thing but it looks like it might be pretty good.
SEINFELD
The_KMans_own_series: The_pilot
I couldn't find any interesting story about George (surprisingly little Seinfeld fanfiction out there), so I had to settle for this one about Kramer's life after the prison term with which the series ended. It's a fun read for the idea, even though it does seem like it was written by a thirteen year old. (A lot of fanfiction is.)
MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE
The_Secret
This story seems to have nothing to do with mission impossible, but it was kinda interesting so I read it anyways. Its an amusing little vignette about an undercover cop who dresses up like a girlfriend in order to invoke a confession. No Tom Cruise anywhere though...
( Which is a shame because I really like Tom Cruise. I think he is a good man and I don't care what people say about him! I know that he's a really great guy with a heart of gold, and all that nasty scientology stuff is just vindictive, and ill-informed, slander from jealous people. All his movies are awesome, even 'Far and Away' and 'Days Of Thunder' ! )
When_The_Night_Fell_Over
This looks like an amusing story told from Niles's point of view. It chronicles his courtship of Maris, which is interesting because we never get to see Maris on the TV show, so having her character described in written form is kinda entertaining. Personally I was a little disappointed by the story, but I guess it's hard to capture the humour of a show like Frasier in a short story, as so much of it is visual.
FRASIER
Guilty_Little_Secret
The idea for this story is really much more interesting than the story itself as it is so poorly written. If you're a Frasier fan, then the concept would have been intriguing; What if Frasier hadn't walked into the hotel room where his brother Niles had just slept with his ex-wife Lillith? Unfortunately the story is rubbish, and an agonizing ordeal to read. Only about a paragraph long, and so devoid of any insight or wit, that I had to soothe myself afterwards by reading my own very excellent fan-fiction story which can be found here: SEINFELD
The_Forum_About_Nothing
This is not a fan-fiction story, but it might be an interesting forum to check out if you like Seinfeld, because it is a place where people meet and talk about nothing. If anyone is interested in writing fan-fiction related to Seinfeld, then this might be an interesting place to get ideas.
THE A-TEAM
Underneath_the_Dying_Rambutan
This one's a really fun read about how the A-team was formed. It starts with Hannibal being dumped in POW camp, and meeting the characters who would become key players in the series later on. It's refreshingly well written, with remarkably few grammar and punctuation errors. In fact, I noticed that I couldn't find any at all, which is unusual in fanfiction. 5 out of 5 stars.
KNIGHT RIDER
All_Is_Not_Lost
I've read only half of this one so far but I must say that it has a really interesting premise. I only vaguely remember the episode it was based on, but it was called 'Lost Knight' and it was one of the more pivotal ones. This story adds a little twist to that. Enjoy!

What about more friendly linking and not just inserting urls into the blog entry???
ReplyDeleteFrank Look at some others ten fan fictions links
you got some interesting Fanfiction links
ReplyDeleteI found your summaries of the links you have posted to be informative and guiding and I liked how you noted that most fanfics seem to be written by 13year olds as I too agree. I would definitely take your critique seriously.
ReplyDeleteWhat is up with you guys and the bicurious Tom cruise pics? Frickn fanboys ;) Nice links btw
